The Five Percenter President

By Levin Inches

Last week Obama BFF & Hip Hop superstar - Jay Z attended a Brooklyn Nets game with his wife Beyoncé.  As the two sat courtside, it was hard not to notice the giant, gaudy medallion hanging from his neck.  Which is odd when you consider that Jay Z is usually wearing something horrifically gaudy, so it doesn't seem too unusual.  But this particular piece was noticed due to it's symbolism.  The disk on the chain being worn by the hip hop mogul is a symbol of the Five Percent Nation.

If you're not familiar with this organization, let me fill you in.  In 1964, the group was founded in Harlem by a former student of Malcom X.  Clarence Smith (who later changed his name to "Allah") took issue with the Nation of Islam, over the nature of God.   The name is derived from the teachings of the Nation of Islam, that five percent of humanity are "poor righteous teachers", whose sole purpose is to enlighten the masses about the truth of existence.

According to Michael Muhammad Knight, an author of two books on the radical group, "The rationale is that the black man is God and created the universe.  He is physically and intellectually stronger and more righteous naturally.  Whiteness is weak and wicked and inferior - basically just an errant child who needs to be corrected."

Now seems like a real good time to insert the definition of the term "racism".

rac·ism
[rey-siz-uhm]

noun
1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

So...see?  It's not just a big, gaudy, ugly necklace.  It's a symbol of racism, hate, and intolerance.  Phew, for a minute there I was worried that our President's best bud was guilty of poor taste in jewelry.

Let's not forget that it was this guy that Barack Obama chose to whoop it up with in Las Vegas while Ambassador Chris Stevens was being massacred by Al Queda extremists in Benghazi.  American Patriots were begging and pleading for help in Libya while our Commander in Chief was partying down in Sin City with a guy that will publicly wear symbols for organizations that teach that "whiteness is weak and inferior".  The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, for crying out loud.

Can you imagine the media outcry if George W. Bush had decided to take a trip to Las Vegas with David Duke on the night of September 11th, 2001?  America was attacked by Islamic radicals in both circumstances.   Yet the actions of the American leader during each attack couldn't have been more different.  One man took a bullhorn to the location of the attack, stood shoulder to shoulder with those afflicted by it, and proclaimed that those responsible would "hear us all soon".

How did the other American leader respond to terror?  First he took a nap.  Then, he hopped on a plane, and headed out to Las Vegas to meet up with the Five Percent Nation medallion wearing racist.  While he was out there...sipping Dom Perignon and "slow jamming", he sent one of his minions out in the media to blame the attack on a YouTube video that no one has ever seen, nor heard of.   Quite the stark contrast, huh?

Priorities, I guess.  It's more important for this President to be seen with the "cool kids", like Jay Z...than it is to stick around and clean up his own mess.  Why not?  It's not like the media is going to hold him accountable for anything.  He's not a Republican.  Obama can skip town with a guy that believes that "whiteness is weak and inferior", while some incompetent, overpaid yutz that works for him appears on the Sunday talk shows to flat out LIE to the American people about the whole thing.  Not once, not twice, not three times...but FIVE separate times.

As if this whole "Hangover" style party in Vegas isn't enough, did anyone happen to catch Mr. Z's clever little rap about his trip to Cuba.  The one where he mentions Obama by name?  Yeah, me either.  But I did read about it.  The line in the song reads as follows...

"Obama said, Chill you gonna get me impeached.  But you don't need this s#it anyway, chill with me on the beach."

Is he referring to one of Cuba's beaches?  Because if there's any possible, Earthly way to send them both over to a Cuban beach on a permanent basis, I'm willing to help.  Just let me know who to make the check payable to, or if either of them need help packing.  I can picture it now...Jay Z in a fedora, with his racist medallion on, smoking a Cuban Cigar, arm and arm with Obama, who is wearing a little sun dress and dark sunglasses.  Reggie Love will be so jealous!

Where is the media in all of this?  Why isn't Matt Lauer opening the "Today Show" with this story?  Why isn't Brian Williams devoting a week's worth of segments to the racist ties of a United States President's good friend?  Yeah, yeah.  I already know the answer.  It's because Obama's a democrat.  The media has a vested interest in his Presidency.  They ignored his past, his controversial associations, and his lack of experience doing...well, anything besides getting stoned.  All to get him elected.  Hell, they're responsible for his 2008 election.  If they had reported on just half of the crap that this guy had done, or rather...hadn't done, no one in their right mind would have voted for him to even be their local DOG CATCHER, much less the President of the United States of America.

If he were a Republican, they would have forced him out of office already.  Case in point; Richard M. Nixon.  No United States Ambassadors died at the Watergate break in.  Yet the media made Nixon out to be the devil.  The way they portrayed him, he was worse than Charles Manson.  They chased him out of DC quicker than Ed Schultz can tear up an All You Can Eat buffet.

Imagine for a moment if the same standard that the media applies to Republican politicians, were also held to democrat politicians.

I know, I really can't either.  It seems entirely too far fetched.
